Maurice enjoyed celebrating his 79th birthday with family and friends. A great evening was had by all. Georgia prepared a great meal of grilled steak and chicken with all the trimmings including her special rice dish.

Tim Mikeska of Rudy Mikeska’s in Taylor asked the El Campo bunch to be with him on the Early Show. The following are pictures from the Memorial Day BBQ segment, with Rene Syler, Julie Chen, and Harry Smith. After all the work, we had time to have a few laughs as we were “anchors” at the CBS news desk. We had a great time in New York – thanks to CBS for everything!

Mikeska catering had the privilege of catering on the USS Lexington in Corpus Christi Texas on July 4, 2001. The meal was served on the flight deck. Our vans were put on the same elevators they used for aircraft and then raised so we could drive right on the carrier. This is our third year catering the event. This year we prepared brisket, sausage, and all the trimmings for 800 guests.
